This is a complete Unbak ICARUS IC-XMobile mobile factory. An IC-2500SA light gauge steel framing machine and a coil decoiler are installed inside a 40 ft shipping container, and a diesel generator supplies power. The unit produces wall panels, roof trusses and lattice joists directly on a job site, with no fixed plant required.
The IC-2500SA roll-forms C and U profiles from S350 high-strength steel up to 16 gauge (0.063 in / 1.6 mm). It produces three web widths, 2.5 in, 3.5 in and 6 in as standard, with a 1.6 in flange, and changes web width through semi-automatic, manual adjustment. The rollformer has 12 gear-driven stations. An 11 kW (14.8 hp) hydraulic unit drives seven inline tooling operations: dimple, web notch, lip notch, service hole, truss end, swage and cut to length. Profiles are inkjet-marked.
The PLC control has a 21 in touchscreen and accepts files from Vertex BD, FrameBuilder MRD and StrucSoft. OEM features include Unbak’s SABS steel anti-blocking system and remote control support.
Power comes from a 2024 Arken ARK-Y 45 L6 diesel generator set rated 41.9 kVA standby and 38.1 kVA prime, 400 V, 3-phase, 60 Hz. It sits in a dedicated compartment with an exhaust system, a main disconnect and a fire extinguisher.
OEM-rated output is up to 2,625 ft/hr for wall panels and 656 ft/hr for trusses and lattice joists. Actual output varies with the framing design.
The unit suits builders, developers and framing contractors who produce LGS framing for remote sites, multi-unit developments or modular projects.
